1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how DLT - Data Logic Tools ("DLT", "we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you visit datalogictools.com, purchase a license, or use the DLT software. We are committed to collecting only the minimum data needed to sell, deliver and support our products.

2. Information We Collect

• Order information — the email address and name you enter at checkout, the products, license tier and plan you purchased, the order total, and the payment provider's order reference. Your license key is linked to this email address.
• License activation data — when the Software activates or verifies a license, we process the license key, the bound email address, and a non-identifying hardware identifier of the activated computer to count seats and prevent license abuse. We do not access, scan, collect or transmit the contents of your drives — recovered files, previews and scan results never leave your computer.
• Contact messages — if you use the Contact page, we process your email address, the selected subject and your message so we can reply.
• Technical logs — our web server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

3. What We Never Collect

• We never receive or store your card numbers or bank details. All payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com; card data goes directly to the payment processor.
• We never collect the contents of files you scan, recover, repair or erase with the Software.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

4. How We Use Information

• To deliver license keys and receipts after purchase;
• To activate, verify and count license seats, and to support license transfers;
• To provide technical support, including seat resets and license renewals;
• To detect and prevent fraud, piracy and license-key abuse;
• To comply with legal and tax obligations.

5. Data Sharing

We share personal data only with: (a) Paddle.com, our payment reseller, which processes your payment and invoice under its own privacy policy; and (b) our email delivery service, used solely to send you license keys and support replies. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Cookies

The datalogictools.com storefront uses no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking. Only essential session/storage features needed for the shopping cart and site security are used.

7. Data Retention

Order and license records are kept for as long as your license is active and afterwards as required for accounting and tax purposes. Server security logs are kept for a limited period. Contact messages are kept until your request is resolved.

8. Your Rights

You may request a copy, correction or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (such as your order record or license binding), or ask us to remove your email from our records, by writing to us through the Contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time. Please note we may retain minimal transaction records where required by law.

9. Security

We protect our systems with access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and signature-verified payment webhooks. License activation requests are signed and validated server-side. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we continuously review our safeguards.

10. Children

Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its "Last updated" date.
